On a typical day of fishing with L.A. Charters, we leave the marina at safe daylight and return between 1:30 and 2 p.m.Fall and winter fishing is excellent in the Venice area. Starting in October, the big trout show up in numbers, and the redfish really turn on. In short, the fishing is terrific throughout October, November, December and, depending on river stages, January. If you're ready for some fast-and-furious action, then make plans now.
Spring and summer offer opportunities to catch that fish of a lifetime. The fish are moving in on the beaches to spawn, and the close-in oil rigs and wellheads of the Gulf are teeming with big fish.
